We are a growing trucking company in need of 1-2 experienced over-the-road dispatcher(s.) Position Requires: - experience (preferred) - Verbal and written communications skills - Rate negotiation and closing skills - Basic computer proficiency ie. excel, load boards, email - Ability to work full time - Being on time, prompt, and prepared on a daily basis General Duties: - Booking freight and developing relationships with brokers and customers - Staying up to date on freight trends - Knowing backhaul/ head-haul markets and the relevant pricing - Soliciting new shippers to gain direct freight - Checking broker creditworthiness to ensure a prompt payment history - Completing new customer setup packets - Pre-planning your assigned drivers and tacking their daily moves - Inputting rate confirmations into dispatch software -Salary is based on experience. Probationary period will go into effect upon hire. -Performance will be reviewed on a regular basis.
