The American University of Moldova is looking to appoint full-time (Associate/Full) beginning from fall 2018, an outstanding candidate as Dean of the Faculty of: 1. Architecture 2. Foundation school Essential Functions Promote academic achievement and student satisfaction consistent with established education objectives, quality standards. Coordinate and conduct training and professional development opportunities as needed for faculty, which includes workshops, seminars and teaching skill development. Work with faculty regarding classroom management, lesson planning, and theory- lab correlation. Evaluate this annually. Manage/direct the faculty/staff evaluation process. Oversee all personnel matters involving academic employees including; recruiting, appointment, dismissal, faculty evaluation, and approval(s) of faculty workload plans. Anticipates, prevents and resolves conflicts and problems under areas of supervision. Interacts with Admissions Department to anticipate class starts and schedules. Approves and assists in selecting and or developing teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference books. Competencies Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrate professionalism at all times. Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of field or discipline.
