Select Corporation, a USA-based trucking company, is hiring a night dispatcher / after-hours. Requirements: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, customers, and other staff. Excellent problem-solving skills to handle emergencies and unexpected situations. Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant technology (e.g., GPS tracking systems, transportation management systems). Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong customer service skills to address inquiries and resolve issues effectively. Professional and courteous demeanor in interactions with customers and drivers. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. High level of accuracy in recording and reporting information. Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: Track and monitor the progress of trucks and drivers. Ensure all trucks are operating on schedule. Maintain communication with drivers, providing support and instructions as needed. Make adjustments to load assignments as needed based on changes in schedules or priorities. Maintain accurate records of driver activities, delivery statuses, and any incidents that occur. Respond to emergencies or incidents involving drivers, such as breakdowns, accidents, or health issues. Coordinate with roadside assistance and emergency services if necessary. Prepare and submit reports on after-hours activities to management. Ensure a smooth transition between shifts with detailed handovers. Schedule: Mon – Fri, 12am – 8am, overtime available.
